3/2 NEWS BITES - Upcoming DVD Releases

For years, Ken Russell's THE DEVILS has only been available as a bootleg, but now Warner Home Video will release the 111 minute unrated version on DVD May 11th. No word on extras at this point.


Anchor Bay will release Dario Argento's TENEBRE and PHENOMENA on DVD with brand new 16x9 transfers, and will include the original extras as well as a new featurette. These discs will also be included in the Argento boxset, which will be rounded out with TRAUMA, THE CARD PLAYER and DO YOU LIKE HITCHCOCK?


HELLO MARY LOU: PROM NIGHT II, the in-name only sequel to the Jamie Lee Curtis classic, will finally see its U.S. DVDebut on April 1st.


Dark Sky Films will release a four-disc Jim Van Bebber collection on May 27th. The collection will include his feature-length films THE MANSON FAMILY (previously released by Dark Sky) and DEADBEAT AT DAWN (previously released by Synapse Films) and his short films MY SWEET SATAN, ROADKILL: THE LAST DAYS OF JOHN MARTIN, DOPER, KATA and INTO THE BLACK.
